This was our first visit, and while I'm glad we gave it a try, it wasn't quite what we expected. There were only about five food trucks open, while the rest were closed. I ordered the street tacos, and my family ordered burgers. The pastor tacos were lacking flavor they were just okay, I'd give them a 2 out of 5. My family both commented that their burgers were overly salty. Overall, I'm still happy we checked it out so we could experience it for ourselves, but based on this visit, it's not a place I'd personally recommend.

I have no clue what fuels the positive reviews, but I am stunned by any review greater than 3 stars. We visited on 4th of July weekend in the early afternoon, and there were less than a dozen people in the entire "park", i.e., it wasn't busy and volume demand was very low. Our group chose the Panini food truck; tactical blunder. A couple of us chose "The Cowboy", a few went for a salad. The food was NOTHING like what was pictured. Specifically, the pictures showcase robust sandwiches and our sandwiches were 1/5 the size of the items pictured. The salads, mediocre at best. The price: exorbitant, valve: an abomination. Fries which accompanied each sandwich, maybe a dozen. Casually glancing around, the food other were eating, from other vendors appeared on par with the quality (or lack thereof) of our meal. It quickly became crystal clear why there were so few people there on a holiday afternoon. Save your money, visit a Chic-Fil-A, or pick up sandwiches from HEB or Kroger. This was radically overpriced, and the food quality was an abomination.

This is one of my go to when it comes to food trucks in Austin. I love that They have ample free parking. Right now they have seven trucks which are usually open at the same time. It’s pretty well lit and they play good music (old school). The only thing I would say is they need to work on updating the heaters and bathrooms. Although they’re locked, I feel like they need more care and the hot water doesn’t work. I tried 4 (Habibi, Tacos, Pete’s Cajun Seafood, and Coat & Thai) out of the 7 trucks and all of the food was delicious!

We have a deep seated love for food trucks so being in an area swarming with them was a dream. We had hoped to visit a handful of FT parks but ran out of time so The Picnic is the only one we made it to. BUT, it was such an awesome experience we have no remorse! We sampled food from 5 different trucks & every bite was heaven. Seating area covered & clean! Very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend!!!

Enjoyed this food truck park so much that we came back the next day! Ample parking and lots of picnic tables (hence the name?) under a large awning. It’s open but you also won’t get rained on or have to sit in direct sun. Great variety among the trucks. We especially enjoyed Coat & Thai (try the Yellow Curry and/or the Pad Thai!). Habibi was also delicious. You really can’t go wrong with any of the options. There’s even a truck that sells dog treats so four-legged friends aren’t left out. This place has something for everyone and is a definite standout even in Austin’s crowded food truck park scene.
